BA Honours Integrative-Relational Counsellor, MBACP

Kathy is an experienced integrative-relational counsellor and psychotherapist, working in private practice in Cobham and Fulham.  In addition, she counsels students at several London University Counselling and Wellbeing Centres.

Kathy incorporates various techniques and theoretical models to meet the needs of each individual client.  This might include cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, Gestalt, psychodynamic, and humanistic models.  She feels that therapy begins with the relationship between counsellor and client, which needs to be built on trust, acceptance and understanding.

Kathy works with young people (13 years old+) and adults on issues including depression, anger, relationship issues, anxiety, self-esteem, body and self-image, sexual identity, life transitions, work issues, family conflict, loss and bereavement, overeating and binge eating.  Therapy can be short-term or long-term, based on the needs of the client.  In addition, Kathy can bring her pets-as-therapy trained dog into the therapy room, if a client feels they would benefit from the presence of a dog.

As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Kathy adheres to the BACP ethical code of behaviour.
